Highlight Reels

This is a series of clip reels edited together from the various projects I completed and produced during my contracts and employment working on 3D oriented projects and campaigns.

Sands Las Vegas

This is a collection of samples from one of the games I worked on and was Lead Designer. The game was based on UK Bingo, with a magical, enchanted theme. I rapidly iterated a number of models and converted found models into usable assets, assembled them into a scene, textured, and lit then did some physical renders for early concepting.

The original inspiration was more wizardly and semi-medieval, however we changed the style slightly based on new demographic data and a geographical refocus. The final theme was more “cottage magic” oriented, sort of akin to Kiki’s Delivery Service. As such many of the assets had to be updated.

The neon palm trees are original, they were intended for Paradise Stud but that theme also changed.

Edge and MSN

These were created while I worked on the Edge team producing internal, marketing, and advertising content for the Edge browser, Microsoft Corporate, and MSN News.

Software: C4D, AE

Amazon Devices

These are just a few samples of the numerous animations created for the Alexa device suite and their corresponding help and support content sections. Some device models and graphics were supplied by the respective product team.

Software: C4D, Maya, AE

Medtronic

These are some samples of the 3D design and animation work I did for Medtronic and Covidien while working at the Optera Group. I handled all the creative tasks like modeling, texturing, designing, and ingesting proprietary model data that was supplied to us, having to convert from CAD, clean everything up, and rig device objects for animation.

Software: C4D, Arnold, Optitrack Motive, AE

Golder Associates

This is a collection of content samples created while employed at Golder where I was one of two creative professionals in a civil engineering firm. The main project I worked on at that time was an extended 3D animation depicting the events of a legal case. Samples from that project can be found below. I created all models except for the excavator and train (for legal reasons), and completed all the storyboarding, research, texturing, rigging, lighting, animation, and rendering.

One of my favorite mediaverses is the Alien franchise. This area consists of content that I created that is thematically inspired by the Weyland-Yutani / Alien mediaverse. All content is original unless stated otherwise.

Minecraft

This is a collection of samples from various Minecraft related projects. The Hide and Seek imagery are a few examples of what I was working on during my brief employment at SkyDoesMinecraft working with Adam Dahlberg. The rest were for personal development and fun.

Software: Cinema 4D, Arnold, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, TurbulenceFD

Inspired by Fallout

Another favorite mediaverse of mine is the Fallout series. I plan on doing more with these, but I started off with a model of an atomic warhead that draws design likeness from Little Boy. I also built a landscape with a complex texture that visually changed according to the altitude. I then experimented with generating realistic atomic explosions, even going so far as to study up on some thermodynamics and nuclear science in the process. In the end, I did manage to get a full animation cached but was unable to get the entirety of frames rendered in a reasonable time due to hardware constraints.
